On September 30, 2000, the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) launched the Programs for Genomic Applications (PGAs). These programs represent a major initiative to advance functional genomic research related to heart, lung, blood, and sleep disorders.

The goals of the PGAs include developing information, tools, and resources to link genes to biological function on a genomic scale. All the information, reagents, and tools developed by the PGAs are intended to be made freely available to the research community in a timely manner.

We are now accepting requests from potential host sites
for 2-Day Traveling Tutorials. Click here for more information.

Interested parties who wish to host a traveling tutorial at their institution should email the offer, or any questions, to Dr. John Macauley or Dr. Dario Boffelli.

In addition, each PGA provides workshops, courses, and visiting scientist programs designed to facilitate the training of researchers in the use of the data and related technologies developed by their respective programs.
